The ballet flat trend
Work from home dress vibes shall we say? Is the slide losing it’s luster? Maybe…and I’m liking this new option.
Being at home more often these days, can feel a little stifling fashion wise. Lounge wear is getting boring. I can’t with the Arizona Birkenstocks anymore. Here are some of my favorite ballet flats for the season.
This flat is the mom jean version of a flat. I like to call it the Mama flat. Definitely not sexy on or delicate. It has a fresh feeling to the ballet we all know. It’s also more comfortable because the lasts are a bit wider. Neous is doing a great job. You can see these gathered/rusched flats here. LoQ added this ballet flat to their collection this A/W. Of course The Row makes their own version that is beyond minimally cool. Check this toe shape out here! Don’t forget Lowe mixing in a little derby/ballet here. Gives me Repetto vibes.
For me, this trend is stellar. Yes, I do love simple, but for a girl who likes to keep her clothing minimal and her shoes all that jazz, this trend is perfection!
Gucci killed it with there embellished flat, and then they took it to another level by adding a convertible back. You can see more here.
These by Porte & Paire are delicate and lovely. Don’t forget these, and these beauties are to die for!
Which ones are your favorite?
