Flip flop time

Over the last year, I’ve been working with a retailer who carries apparel, footwear, and accessories that has a bit of a Kohl’s vibe.

Even though the shoes may not be as creative, the design work is still challenging because you’re building a product that needs to look good but with materials that are a lower price point. Finding and detailing these materials is not the easiest. Luckily I have a library with PU and price point textiles. The factory will also send me materials quarterly so I have what I need when detailing.

Recently this client has requested a promo fit flop sandal with an array of prints following trends that are current and understandable.

I enjoyed researching the trends, creating the artwork, and color palette.

It was a very rushed project of course but at least resulted in a 55,000 pair order. Not bad for a few days! Which one is your favorite? I’m really loving the oversized daisies, the red and cream zebra, and the mini fruit is super fun too.

Which is your favorite? Do you wear fit flops with prints. I personally prefer solid fit flops prints apparently do sell?? What are your thoughts?
