End of year studio happenings
This year has been a whirlwind of work and life changes. The pandemic continues on, but life is slowly circling back to some type of normality with mask in tow.
Over the last 15 years working as a footwear and accessory design consultant, I’ve primarily worked with large brands globally. Unintentionally , the focus has shifted to designing for small brands and start ups.
Initially, I was a little nervous because I knew there would be more guidance required. However, I was pleasantly surprised to have the opportunity to work with intelligent, professional, and very nice people who have enormous passion, and desire to build their business.
It’s been very exciting to share my knowledge and watch these brands grow.
The development of these projects do take longer. Due to the pandemic factories have longer lead times. I’m hoping to have more concrete projects to show by next summer. In the mean time, I can only share snippets of sketches that didn’t make the cut. Such as the one above.
These sketches are related to a very exciting project consisting of shoes and bags that have a unique feature. It’s an incredible idea and the branding is on point too! Hopefully soon I will be able to share but for now here’s a little preview of thumbnails I did for the upper designs.
