Square toe lasts have made a playful turn

Square toe lasts have been a strong trend over the last two years, and seemingly is not going away. I do see some freshness in the square toe shape. The square toe has evolved, and has become a lot more playful. The additional geometric line gives this square toe a lot of personality. It’s a nice way to give a double take to a shoe.

I love these micro block heel slides by Rejina Pyo. The padded insoles add more play to the shoe. I’m looking forward to these coming out next summer.

Then we have these by Marques Almeida. These gladiator block heel sandals with a square toe detail also has the added geometric line. This shoe has an extended outsole. Can we talk about how cool the logo heel is?! I love these clever little details.
