The new category- Work from home shoes

Working from home is here to stay for a few weeks, and maybe indefinitely at the moment.

For someone who has been working remotely for the last fifteen years, I definitely like to dress fashionably to feel good about myself, and also be ready for a face time meeting. It also feels like a real workday when you’re dressed to work.

Since I am working from home more these days, I would like to spruce up my #workfromhome gear. I’ve been looking at shoes I can buy.  I’d also love to support brands I love during this time of hardship.

Here are a few shoes that are on my wish list.

I’ve never really been a Birkenstock girl. I do have a pair, but I prefer a more fashionable style. Aurora James from Brothervellies does a nice job of this Birkenstock style with elevated materials, and a western buckle. You can see more of her flat styles here.

Rejina Pyo has a very cool shearling upper slide. I love the leather sock and upper lining to keep you cool during the not so warm months.

Loq is killing it in the sandal game. Great heel heights, and colors. I have an older style called Ara. This is from their SS20 collection called Roma. I also love this style called Luisa

Last summer I bought this style from Suzanne Rae at Shop Nonna. This year I’m considering this style available at Vamp Shoes in gold and neon green. I can’t decide which color..Thoughts?

Another shoe that would be a great work from home shoe is this Lemaire derby. Love the square toe, and glove like leather. A great option to work from home with a cashmere sweatsuit.

I also am in love with these Acne Studios sneakers here and here. You can never go wrong with a pair of stylish sneakers.

Do you have any shoes that are on your work from home shopping list?

If you’re a brand that is looking to create new shoe designs, I would highly recommend making your version of a work from home shoe. It’s the way of our future as people start working from home more and having a more balanced lifestyle post coronavirus.
