Fall 2021 shoe and accessory color palette

One of my favorite tasks of being a designer is creating color color palettes. I think it’s great to have access to WGSN, but everyone is following their color palette. I like to create my own based on my own researcher nd look at WGSN for validation. I trust my instincts, and design sensibilities.

Next fall will be a year of warm colors mixed in with brights. For 2020, we stuck with basics, stay at home looks. We go out minimally this year due to COVID-19. When we go out we want to feel comfortable, but also put together because we rarely go out.

This time next year, it’s our hope to be do what we did normally ( I’m sure a new normal) such as business meetings, personal outings to restaurants, events travel, etc. We will have grown tired of basics, and want to venture out with some color but also not stray to far with the warm fall colors.

This palette incorporates the feeling of vintage with colors that feel modern. My first inspiration image came from the forest green vintage car, and from there the palette expanded blending in muted brights.
